Walk On

The Champions Who Walked Among Us

He Makes My Feet Like Hind Feet and Plants Me on My High Places

When the year 2012 came around  I had no idea what the new year would bring. Having taken my final steps to support myself through my writing and my music, I  knew the year would be a test of my strength and ability to hold on in the middle of the storm, to not lose faith, to stick to it, to hold on even when my emotional world was battling against me, to forgive and keep going, to not look back and yearn for that which I thought I had lost. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, my expectations were fulfilled. The tests were pretty rough. Did I pass? Don’t know yet. I will find out as I keep hopping along cause He makes my feet like hind feet and plants me on my high places.

I have learned a few things, but what I have learned and  treasure most are the true north principles, which accompany me on my journey.

True north is a word combination I first heard from reading two books by the late author, Stephen Covey, entitled The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and First Things First. If you have never read them, I highly recommend them.  Those two books stopped me from making New Year’s resolutions I never kept, and started me to concentrating on the legacy I wanted to leave behind. Deciding I wanted to leave behind a good legacy forced me to examine my life and  bring it in sync with what I believe in.  This whole process created a catalyst reaction in my life, which has been changing me ever since allowing me to trust him to plants me on my high places.

That is where all of you come in. You, the readers, who have dared to read what I write, you who have taken the time to leave a comment, you who have cheered me on this year as the storms in my life raged and tossed me about like a penny rolling on a sidewalk, not knowing where it will land. Because of you I rose above the  “I can’t do” to the “yes I can do all things through him that strengthens me.”  So I thank God cause  He makes my feet like hind feet and plants me on my high places.

I am thankful for everyone of you who have accompanied me as I write about long forgotten women who have accomplished great achievements on http://garciaandwalkon.me , as I explore the world of books and write book reviews on http://patgarciabookreviews.wordpress.com ,  as I fly high when talking about Apple products and the applications which accompany them on http://garciaanddigitaltechology.com ,  as I write about the revelations revealed to me from the Bible on  http://www.patgarciaschaack.com ,  as I write episodes out of my journal on my  Quiet Times blog on my website, and my first online novel, Heart’s Desire on http://www.pgs-patgarciaschaack.com and as I write my views on  health of the body, soul, and spirit on http://www.patgarcia.co.uk.

Yes, I have lots for which I am thankful. I am no longer an unpublished fiction writer, but a published author in fiction, thank to Alexandra Brown and Romantic Shorts, a Canadian Publishing Company, which published my short story On A Rainy Day at http://romanticshorts.com/2012/07/on-a-rainy-day/ .  I am also a published writer in non-fiction thanks to Deborah Levine and American Diversity Report. The American Diversity Report allows me to espoused upon how I see events in our world and many of you have read my articles at http://americandiversityreport.com/2012/12/31/taking-the-message-to-the-streets.aspx.  Both of these ladies gave me the opportunity to show what I could do.

As the year closes out, I look back and what I see astonishes me.

What do you see Pat, what do you see?

I see a woman continually growing as she moves towards the ever evolving light of eternity.

So, I thank all of you and wish each and everyone a safe and healthy cross over into the New Year.

He makes my feet like hind feet and plants me on my high places.

    • Hi,
Happy New Year, and may you and your family have a successful and prosperous 2013. Yes, it was a wonderful year in every sense of the word. I don’t think the professional accomplishments would have come, if the obstacles had not been in my way. Those obstacles or mountains were things that I had to overcome in order to get to the accomplishments.

I don’t know what this year will bring, but I do believe that the higher you climb, the more intense the testing of your life standards become. It is so important to me to stay near the source of my strength. My own success can only be rewarding when I stay my course and walk my talk. If i am still walking out my life according to my beliefs at the end of this year, then I will have been successful. I am excited about the coming days of 2013 and looking forward to them, and I take an assessment at the end of the year.

      Take care.
      Shalom,
      Patricia

    • My Dear Micki,

You are awesome, and I am just as proud of knowing you. Your book And The Whippoorwill Sang gave me insight into your life, and I sat and read your book in awe of you. I know it was not easy for you to write it, and therefore my respect for you grew even more. There were pure emotions within that book that made me laugh and cry. The more I read, the more grateful I was for your friendship. You have standards that I want to attain. You are a natural born writer and I am thankful that we are friends.

      Ciao,
      Patricia

P, again I say thank you for helping me to see that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!!!. I look back and I do not see failures but obstacles that I had to learn to overcome and mountains I had to learn to climb. I do learn all of this through Gods’ word and promises that He made to all of us. Thank you Sis, for being you, Love you

    • Hi My Dear Sis,

That’s it. Looking back at those obstacles they were all tests that you have to overcome to get where you want to go. But it doesn’t stop there. We will continue to face obstacles that we must overcome as we move towards eternity. The sad thing is when we hide our heads in the sand because we are afraid and do not face them. Many people never reach their capabilities because of fear. So keep on moving. You’re going to make it. I just know it.

      Patricia
